My bio

My name is Patrick Barbar, and in April 2025, I retired from a rewarding 26-year career in Canadian law enforcement.
Throughout my service, I held a variety of roles—from frontline patrol and community engagement to bicycle patrol and motorcycle duty. One of the most impactful chapters of my career was a year-long voluntary deployment to Afghanistan, where I contributed to international efforts aimed at stabilizing Kandahar Province.

Over the years, I’ve developed a deep passion for travel—particularly by motorcycle. To date, I’ve explored more than 30 countries, experiencing much of the world from the seat of a motorbike. My travels have taken me across Europe, Turkey, Morocco, Canada, the United States, Guatemala, and 29 of Mexico’s 32 states.

In June 2025, I embark on my most ambitious journey yet: riding the Pan-American Highway from western Canada to the southern tip of Argentina. But the adventure won’t stop there. Following South America, I plan to continue riding across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa—an expedition I anticipate will take approximately two years.

I invite you to join me on this global adventure by following along on social media, where I’ll be sharing stories, photos, and updates from the road.
